Faculty Profile
I'm Matteo Loglio, a product and interaction designer from Italy working on creative projects with artificial intelligence, playful applications of technology and open tools for a less-boring future.
I spend my days weaving delight into everyday products, often rambling through mystical buzzwords - artificial intelligence, blockchain, decentralized networks, but mostly focused on tangible projects and tools. in the past ten years i've been designing real and fictional moonshot projects ∗ big, small, often firsts of their kind.
Currently a founder @oio - a creative company on a quest to turn emerging technologies into an approachable, everyday and sustainable reality // also a founder @primotoys, advisor @pigzbe (RIP) and @ethafa, posting @opus and @are.na, taking pics @homeless, hardcore prototyper and occasional speaker.
I worked for three years @google creative lab, while teaching @central saint martins in london, @supsi in lugano, @head in geneva, and other design schools internationally. I worked with @ideo, @nesta, @waag and other innovation companies.
Sometimes exhibited in places such as @moma in new york, @v&a in london, or @triennale in milan, i teach and talk about design and creativity in universities, events and conferences all around the world.
Recently I wrote a book about the many intelligences of our universe, shaped the first AI creative director, designed a musical instrument for google, taught a river in london how to write poetry using AI and created a product called cubetto - a cute wooden robot changing the lives of millions of children using it every day.
Some of these projects have been awarded with @red dot design award, @d&ad pencils, @good design award, @interaction award and @cannes lions, and featured in TIME magazine, new york times, the guardian, bbc, domus, and wired, among others.
