Overview
As financial markets have grown, so has the need for accurate information and fast, reliable news affecting markets. A whole industry has developed around these services with companies such as Bloomberg or Thomson Reuters feeding the financial ecosystem with the latest information, as well as providing access to enormous volumes of data, analysis and research. It’s essential to understand how these companies behave and understand the tools at their disposal.

Prerequisites
This course is one of three in a wholistic series.
Students that have already taken MSL-111 and those with prior experience with HTML, CSS, and Javascript building simple web pages will be good candidates for this module.
Marybeth brings experience in storytelling management for print, digital, television and radio to students at Harbour.Space. She is passionate about developing and transferring skills to real jobs and helping students navigate a rapidly changing field of media, marketing, PR and communications.
She has taught classes include Feature Writing, Investigative Journalism, Web Storytelling and Mass Communications at the University of North Carolina. Her teaching is based on extensive work in multiple leadership and entrepreneurial roles at Bloomberg in Stockholm, London, Zurich, Washington D.C. and New York. At Bloomberg, her positions included managing content teams, standards training, internal and external communications and leading projects to create visual stories for print, web, TV and radio.

Yes. Upon completion of the course, you will receive a certificate signed by the director of the program your course belonged to.
