Overview
In this course, students critique contemporary culture and strategically intervene in it through a range of media. With a strong DIY and participatory emphasis, students design and execute real-world social experiments and interactions, based on their unique interests. Subjects include contemporary communication, successful ‘personal projects,’ and the phenomenon of virality.

This course is one of three in a wholistic series.
Students that have already taken MSL-111 and those with prior experience with HTML, CSS, and Javascript building simple web pages will be good candidates for this module.
Ivan Cash is an award-winning artist, director, and creative director who founded Cash Studios in 2011. He previously worked at global ad agency of the year Wieden+Kennedy Amsterdam and Venables Bell & Partners in San Francisco.
Ivan has been recognized as a Forbes 30 Under 30 Creative, an Art Director’s Club Young Gun, and a Print New Visual Artist, while collecting multiple Vimeo Staff Picks and Webby Honorees.
