Overview
Interactive Art Direction is a discipline charged with unifying and maintaining a vision from concept to completion—be it a product, service, or communications. IADs play a very rewarding role within organizations and the ever-changing media landscape pushes them to be in-tune with emerging styles and technologies. Talented IADs are visual visionaries and confident collaborators that understand the social, emotional, and cultural impact of their work.
Learning highlights
- In this class, students will be exposed to practical methods of transforming an abstract concept into a tangible experience that moves an audience to action, emotion.
- From the basics of storytelling to Enchanted Objects, students will learn how to apply concepts to existing and new mediums, objects, and environments —screens, realities, mobility, art, gaming. Students will become acquainted with real-world examples and guest speakers that will guide them through the difficult process of maintaining and unifying a vision from concept to production—including how to translate input from stakeholders and maneuver through competing priorities.
